Lakota Inspirations was founded during my university days in 2014. My love for beautiful but unique jewellery often found me searching high and low with no luck. So one day, I began to create the pieces that I loved. More and more people I knew started complimenting me on my jewellery and asking me to make them pieces too and before I knew it, I was creating jewels for many friends and strangers alike. And so Lakota Inspirations was born And I haven’t looked back since!

Lakota Inspirations was officially launched in 2014 with the aim in mind to create beautiful one-of-a-kind pieces. We are primarily online- based in Cape Town, South Africa but we do supply stores across South Africa and we are ever expanding to new stockists, retailers and consultants to spread the Lakota Inspirations magic!

All jewellery pieces, accessories and home decor are handcrafted and made with the utmost love and care. The designer line itself is influenced by Native American culture and traditions as well as the Bohemian movement with a dash of gypsy here and there. Our name originates from the Native American tribe, Lakota. This tribe was one of the first tribes to create and use dream catchers to ward off bad dreams.

Our company’s inception was 2014 and since then, we have grown in leaps and bounds. However we still maintain the three most important values that we started with.

Our belief is that “Pretty things don’t have to cost a pretty penny!”.
